There currently no down payment assistance available in Watertown. However, we
are happy to announce that first-time homebuyers in Watertown are eligible for a tax credit of up to $7500 under the Housing & Economic Recovery Act of 2008. Home must be purchased (closed on) on
or before July 1, 2009. Adjusted Gross Income limits are: up to $75,000 for 1 person household, up to $150,000 for a
married couple. After 2 years, the tax credit is repaid at a rate of $500 / year or is repaid in full at time of sale.
